Abstract
The studies on processes and language in the field of visual design are essential for the design of spaces and media of communication and information in contemporary society and culture. With the advancement of digital technologies, new forms of expression appear that are associated with traditional ones, generating a complex network of messages. On the other hand, the understanding of the various languages that make up design (visual, verbal, sound), and their relationships, are these fruitful fields for contemporary research in visual design, permeating the fields of art, architecture, and design. The research is organized from theoretical and practical studies, with emphasis on experimental procedures that promote the articulation of the various elements of visual language. The project is approached as a process and language construction, in view of the contemporary context of Design, its new materialities, and means of representation that, associated with traditional media, produce a complex network of messages.
