The teaching and research methods of the History of Design in Brazil

Abstract
Ongoing research project. Studies on history, didactics, the configuration of disciplines and the applied methods of Brazilian Design History teaching in the scope of graduation and post-graduation courses. Considering the increasing growth of the teaching of this subject in the last years in this country and the acknowledgment of a raise in the number of research projects on Brazilian Design History in congresses and publications, it is intended to identify the state of art of this teaching, embracing the teaching of Brazilian Design History specific research. Therefore, this study intends to recover the trajectory of this teaching practice since its origins up until nowadays in Brazil, approaching aspects of didactics, methodology, bibliography and content employed in the disciplines of graduation and post-graduation courses. Thus, the present research longs to contribute to the established debate on the teaching and research of Brazilian Design History and the perfecting of its teaching practices.
